Een foto waar je rustig van wordt, dat is eigenlijk alles wat ik ervan kon maken .... Die foto heb ik afgelopen zaterdag gemaakt, in de Biesbosch. Maar zo'n foto kan ik eigenlijk overal in de natuur maken, want de natuur, daar kan ik erg van genieten. Een prachtig landschap, in het verre buitenland of gewoon zo'n typisch nederlands landschap, daar kan ik uren naar kijken en ja, dat kalmeert ook vind ik. Gewoon genieten, de wind/zon/regen voelen, en alle muizenissen uit je hoofd laten waaien ;-)

A photo that relaxes you, that's all I could understand with this challenge .... I made that photo  last saturday, in the Biesbosch. But I can make a relaxing photo anywhere in nature, because nature, and beautiful landscapes, is something I really love. Somewhere far away, or close by, a typical Dutch landscape, I can watch it for hours and yes, it relaxes me. Just enjoy, feel the wind/sun/rain, and all your worries disappear ;-)

Ik ben ook weer bezig met een Suzi Blu schilderij, en voor de beoordeling moest ik het geheel inscannen. Ik heb de scan maar gelijk gebruikt om weer eens een pagina voor de AJC te maken, want ik loop ernstig achter ;-) De vleugels heb ik digitaal toegevoegd, maar die vind ik zo leuk dat ik ze ook geprint heb en in mijn schilderij ga gebruiken !

Started a new Suzi Blu painting and I had to scan it for critique. Decided to use the scan to create a new AJC page, because I am waaaayyy behind with these ;-) I added the wings digitally, but I like them so much I printed them and will add them to my painting as well !

Play ... dat was het woord .... en kleuren ... dat was de opdracht. Deze pagina heb ik gemaakt met een scan van mijn eerste Moleskine pagina, gecombineerd met een quote die ik al heel lang in mijn collectie heb, een quote die ik wel kan waarderen ;-) Verder nog wat kwasten gebruikt, in contrasterende kleurtjes ... en ik ben tevreden met mijn vijfde pagina !

Play ... was the word ... and colors ... the assignment. I made this page with a scan of my first Moleskine page, combined it with a quote I have in my stash for a long time now, a quote I really like ! I added a bit of brushwork in nice colors .... and  I am really happy with page 5 !

De quote, ja, dat is voor mij zeker waar. Ik kan inderdaad ernstig verlamd raken als er bijzondere dingen van me verwacht worden. Dus, een uitdaging om daar dit komende jaar anders mee om te gaan !

The quote, definately true for me. I can get seriously paralyzed when people expect special things from me. So, a challenge to handle this differently in the coming year !

Zo, de eerste pagina is af. Moeilijk, maar ook wel leuk om gewoon creatief een pagina in elkaar te zetten. Deze week was de opdracht een woord te kiezen voor 2010. Voor mij is dat  Uitdaging geworden. Met de grootste uitdaging ben ik natuurlijk al bezig sinds 19 december, jaaaaa, al de 17e dag rookvrij ! Dit Art Journal is natuurlijk een uitdaging op zich, geen idee hoe dit zich gaat ontwikkelen. In mijn hoofd broeien nog meer uitdagingen, en dan natuurlijk nog alles wat onverwacht op je pad komt ;-)

Finished my first page. It's hard, but kind of nice to just create something with all kinds of different supplies and techniques. This first week we had to pick a word for 2010. My word is Challenge. Started the biggest challenge already December 19th, yes, I quit smoking and am smokefree now for 17 days. So, the challenge is to keep that up ! This Art Journal is another challenge, no idea how this will turn out and where it will take me. In my head some other challenges, and of course there are the challenges that just come my way during the year ;-)

Nou, hier dan mijn eerste poging. Ik ga nog tekst toevoegen, maar ik denk, dat ik dat pas helemaal aan het eind van het projekt ga doen. Waarschijnlijk zal ik ook layouts plaatsen waarop de journaling ontbreekt, omdat ik dat dan niet met de hele wereld wil delen, maar dat zal de tijd leren ;-)

Here's my first attempt to 'art-journal'. The cover and background for my to be printed journal, without the journaling, think I will add that at the end of the project. Maybe I will post some layouts without journaling, simply because I don't want to share everything with the outside world ;-)

Art Journal Caravan {Expedition 2010}

Ik was er al een tijdje over aan het twijfelen, maar nu toch besloten dit projekt ook beet te pakken. De bedoeling is een Art Journal te maken over alles wat me bezig houdt, wie ik ben, waar ik vandaan kom en waar ik naartoe ga, gedachtenkronkels, kortom, alles wat ik maar kwijt wil ... Gewoon een creatieve uitspatting kan ook zomaar voorkomen, ik weet het nog niet. Met recht een avontuur, een expeditie naar een onbekende bestemming !

Informatie over dit projekt vind je in de rechts , hieronder zie je de starterskit voor dit projekt. Oke, het is geen goedkoop project, maar omdat ik gestopt ben met roken vind ik, dat ik mezelf wel kan verwennen ;-) Hahaha, dat roep ik nu bij alles wat ik koop, daar kan ik  natuurlijk niet mee bezig blijven !

Been in doubt for a while, but decided to join this project too. My intention is to make an Art Journal about everything on my mind, who I am, where I am going, just anything I want to journal about .... Or just creative explosions, I am not sure yet. It is a true adventure, an expedition to an unknown destiny !

Links to the project are on the right side, and above is a little preview of the starterskit. Now it is not a cheap project, but since I quit smoking I decided I could treat myself with this kit ;-) At the moment I say this with everything I buy, can't keep that up ofcourse LOL
